Mulayam & Mayawati hold joint rally
New Delhi, April 19: In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati held a joint rally at Mainpuri today. It was almost after 24 years that the two shared the dais. SP-BSP-RLD have forged an alliance for parliament elections in the state.
Congress has not fielded its candidate at Mainpuri seat. Mulayam Singh Yadav in a brief address at this public meeting appealed the public to welcome Mayawati and make him victorious. He said Mayawati always helped him.
In her address, Mayawati said people have faith in Mulayam Singh Yadav. She said Samajwadi Party has united people of backward class and scheduled castes. She hailed Akhilesh Yadav and said he is holding legacy in a proper way.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav said BJP led union government marred the trade and business. He said the country is undergoing a fragile period.
