SNF organised sports meet for differently abled individuals
New Delhi, May 1: Satat Navotkarsh Foundation ( NGO ) in collaboration with Chetna world of therapeutic services organized sports meet for 200 differently abled individuals at tricky taka Football Ground Vasant Kunj, Delhi.
The games played were 25 m walk, 25 m run, shot-put throw, tennis ball throw. The schools who participated included were Tamanna (all branches), Ananth Centre, Navjyoti, Akshay Pratisthan, JD Tyler, and individual children who are associated with different schools. The anchor of the event was Rajeev who is visually challenged individual leading an independent life.
Sonali Saxena, Founder, Satat Navotkarsh Foundation Said “Every child regardless of differing backgrounds and abilities has the right to a holistic Education, of which sports is an intrinsic part. All children can benefit from the exercise, energy release, and the pure enjoyment of participating in sports. This includes children with special needs, who gain considerable confidence from sports activities. Sports Day for the Differently abled was started keeping this in mind. The day in special for not only the children but for one and all who are present. The spirit shown by the children is something we all need to learn from and imbibe into our lives”.
Surender Kumar special Olympics coach managed all the sports activities. Camfil Pvt Ltd were the sponsors of the event and Guest of Honour was Mr Yogesh Agarwal, CEO, Daffodil software.The media partner of the event was PR Solution Global.
Satat Navotkarsh Foundation also engaged in field of education, health care, environmental conservation and advancement of other charitable works.
