3 killed in bomb blast in Pakistan
New Delhi, April 28: In Pakistan, at least three security personnel were killed and two others injured in a bomb blast in the northwest district of North Waziristan.
Local Urdu TV channel ARY News reported that the explosion hit a check-post located in Raghzai area of Tehsil Shewa in North Waziristan, a district of the country’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
The security personnel came under the attack yesterday when they reached the post to perform their duties.
Local media quoting officials said that an improvised explosives device was planted near the check-post and it was detonated with a remote-control device.
Security forces cordoned off the whole area and launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to arrest the perpetrators. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet.
